This is a letter from our association to the municipal council.

Dear Sirs, Madams,

Regarding the latest updates on the proposed wind farm in the vicinity of ex municipality of Voies and following the most recent meeting with the Federation of Vatika’s Associations in Attica, we would like to express our opinion in public, for this urgent matter.

We support and comply with the statement of the (above) Federation, which is the prevention of wind farms installation not only at Velanidia, but also in the greater vicinity.

Therefore, we trust that the Municipal Council will act swiftly on the appeal to the Regulatory Authority for Energy and to approve the proposed General Urban Planning in order to implement the statutory acts needed for the shielding of our land. We also call out to the local communities to not be idle by-standers, contributing to the general disdain of Vatika and mortgaging the future of the land and the next generations.
