Announcement for summer activities

Due to the general health situation, both within the country and globally, and taking into high consideration the community interest, the Council Board of the Cultural Association of Velanidia “I Mirtidiotissa” has decided to cancel the traditional August fest for this year. The Association is already investigating further alternative options for events that will pleasantly fill in the vacation days of the visitors, always respecting the appropriate health measures and precautions. For the events that the Council Board will decide to conduct, there will be the appropriate announcements, as long as this is feasible and there will be no more government directives that will prevent this endeavour. We wish you all a great summer, with good health to you and your loved ones.

2020 NY Pie Event

On Sunday 9/2/2020 in our home office, we held the NY Pie event. The Association chairman, Mr. Panagiotis Kounoupas, greeted the members and wished for a happy New Year.

He updated the members about the current workings of the Association, marking the beginning of the Statute Change procedure.

Next on, the winners of the Photo Contest were awarded for their contribution, with the prizes being a 2020 calendar and an ornament.

Continuing, the chairman also awarded the students that managed to enter into tertiary public education.

After the awardings, the chairman cut the Administrative Council’s Pie. The coin was taken by Ms. Kiriaki Skamnidi, the Association’s Secretary.

Closing the event, the chairman thanked the members for coming to the event and announced the two upcoming events, Winter’s Feast and the Annual General Meeting.

He also explicitly marked the need of presence of more members at the Association’s gatherings.

We wholeheartedly wish you a happy New Year. We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who came to the event. See you next time!

New Year’s Pie 2020

Dear Members and Friends,

We are glad to inform you that we will be cutting the New Year’s Pie on Sunday, 9 Feb 2020, at 11.00PM, in our headquarters.

We ‘ll be happy to meet you in our office on Tsamadou 38 Str. in Piraeus (Customs Brokers’ Hall, 5th floor).

During the event, we will award the students that managed to enter in tertiary public education, as well as the winners of our photography contest.

Website re-opening

As a continuous work in progress, in time you will see many new posts, both new and old that are currently missing. We are asking for your patience as this is a task that requires both time and content management.
